Indigo Studios, strategically located in Serifos's vibrant Livadi port area, presents an intriguing option for both the value-seeking traveller and those after a touch of modernity in architecture. Despite the anticipation of a scenic sea view, the spacious studios are thoughtfully designed with amenities such as air conditioning, a kitchenette, and a private terrace perfect for relaxation. Our experience, however, revealed several discrepancies. The exterior was not as expected; an unkempt front garden was neither inviting nor representative of the photos. While the rooms themselves maintained a clean aesthetic, the overall experience seemed marred by subpar service. The staff displayed a curious indifference, providing assistance only when prompted, which detracted from what could have been a more hospitable atmosphere. At €120 for a double studio without breakfast, Indigo Studios feels overpriced, given that key offerings like functioning Wi-Fi were disappointingly absent. A more reasonable price of around €80 would align closer to the luxury provided. With limited accommodation options on the island, Indigo Studios remains a decent, if imperfect, choice for those who value centrality and modern design over sweeping views. For architectural enthusiasts like myself, it offers a unique lens into the blend of history and modern living in Serifos.
